In 1948 Rabbi Albert Lewis came to South Jersey as one of the Rabbinical pioneers who created and developed the long relationships with the various clergy and ministries throughout the community.  The result was the formation of the Interfaith Council which continues today.

Rabbi Lewis believed that by dialoguing directly with his fellow clergy from all denominations one could promote a better understanding of principles, ideas and values shared by people of all faiths.

Advancing his love of humanity, Rabbi Lewis changed the religious dynamic of our community.  It is with those collected beliefs that we honor his legacy by creating Al's chorAl... a senior interfaith singing group for our community.
